Islamabad High Court has ordered the release of Shah Mahmood Qureshi, the Vice Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). Orders were issued by Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb.
Today, a hearing was held at Islamabad High Court on the petition against the detention of Shah Mahmood Qureshi. Under section 3 of the Anti-Terrorism Act, Islamabad High Court had previously declared Shah Mahmood Qureshi’s arrest as illegal and ordered him to submit a sworn statement.
During the hearing, Justice Mian Gul Hassan Aurangzeb asked the State Council if there is any case against Shah Mahmood Qureshi. The State Council responded that they need to check whether there is a case against Shah Mahmood Qureshi or not.
Subsequently, Islamabad High Court has ordered the release of Shah Mahmood Qureshi. The directives were issued by Justice Mian Gul Hassan Aurangzeb.
