The coastal city of Karachi is approximately 910 kilometers away from the approaching tropical cyclone in the Arabian Sea. Today, the storm will move further towards the northeast.
Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz has informed about the intensifying severe tropical cyclone in the Arabian Sea, moving towards the north and northeast.
According to Sardar Sarfaraz, the tropical cyclone is currently located 910 kilometers south of Karachi, and it is expected to further advance towards the northeast today.
He further explained that the system can change its course slightly towards the northwest, affecting coastal areas of Oman and Pakistan, including the regions of Makran and Sonmiani.
Sardar Sarfaraz stated that it is not possible to determine with certainty which coastal areas will be impacted by the cyclone, as its second track could also affect the coastal belt of Gujarat and Sindh.
