According to the Saudi Ministry of Manpower, the maximum daily duty in private and public institutions is 8 hours, while it is also illegal to take more than 5 hours of continuous duty from a worker.
According to Article 101 of the Labor Law, working hours in a day cannot exceed 11 hours, if more than 8 hours are worked, it will be considered as overtime. Under Article 107, overtime pay will be 150% of the actual pay.
Working with employees on Eid and public holidays will also count as overtime.
While duty cannot be taken continuously even for 5 hours, a break of 30 minutes must be given, while during Ramadan two hours relaxation is fixed in the working hours.
