The Islamabad High Court has issued notices to the Interior Secretary, Defense Secretary, Superintendent of Adiala Jail, and the Punjab Home Department in response to former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s request for uninterrupted meetings in Adiala Jail.
Chief Justice Aamer Farooq of the Islamabad High Court presided over the hearing and has requested responses from all involved parties by next week.
Imran Khan’s lawyer, Shoaib Shaheen, informed the court that Imran Khan should be allowed to meet with party leaders without interference and that the involvement of intelligence agencies’ Major and Colonel in jail administrative matters should be halted.
Following the hearing, the court issued the notices and adjourned the case until next week.
It is noteworthy that just yesterday, the Islamabad High Court had scheduled the hearing for former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s request for uninterrupted meetings in jail.
