Iran has responded to a joint statement by the UK, France, and Germany.
According to foreign media, Iran has rejected the European countries’ call for restraint amid rising tensions.
The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the demand for restraint from Iran reflects a lack of political awareness and is inconsistent with international legal principles. The ministry emphasized that once again, Iran calls on France, Germany, and the UK to demand a ceasefire in Gaza.
Foreign media reported that the UK, France, and Germany had issued a statement yesterday urging Iran to refrain from escalating tensions in the Middle East.
Meanwhile, the United States has also called for Turkey to persuade Iran to de-escalate the situation.
In a conversation with journalists, U.S. Ambassador to Turkey Jeff Flake stated that Turkey, along with other allies, should work to convince Iran to reduce tensions in the Middle East. He added that Turkish mediators are making efforts to prevent further escalation.
