The draft process for the 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) has been completed, with several prominent cricketers failing to become part of the franchises’ squads.
Yesterday, the PSL 10 players’ draft event took place at Hazuri Bagh in Lahore, where franchise owners and team management formed their final squads through the draft process.
During the player draft, franchises made enthusiastic bids for players, securing several superstars for their squads, including Australia’s David Warner, who was purchased for a record price.
Karachi Kings included David Warner in their team for a fee of 3 lakh dollars (8.36 crore Pakistani rupees).
In addition to Warner, big cricketers such as Shaun Abbott, New Zealand’s Kane Williamson, Daryl Mitchell, and Finn Allen became part of various teams.
While franchises added globally renowned players to their squads, some cricketers were unable to secure a spot in PSL 10.
