In the third match of the tri-nation series at National Bank Stadium, Karachi, Pakistan’s bowlers faced a tough time against South African batters, conceding 350 runs in a lackluster performance.
Pakistan’s pace leaders, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah, gave away 134 runs in their combined 20 overs, managing to take only three wickets. Meanwhile, the only specialist spinner, Abrar Ahmed, remained wicketless, conceding 63 runs in his 10 overs.
Part-time spinners Agha Salman and Khushdil Shah bowled a total of 12 overs, maintaining an economy rate of 6 runs per over, and gave away 72 runs.
The most expensive bowler for Pakistan was Mohammad Hasnain, who leaked 72 runs in just 8 overs at an economy rate of 9 runs per over, without taking a single wicket.
Pakistan’s bowlers conceded 110 runs in the last 10 overs, picking up just one wicket, highlighting their struggles in the death overs.
Disappointed by the lackluster bowling performance, cricket fans expressed their frustration, stating that Pakistan’s bowling attack appeared weak for the first time, while India’s bowling unit looked much stronger in comparison.
