Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was warmly received by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif upon his arrival at the Prime Minister’s House during his two-day visit to Pakistan.
A grand reception ceremony was held in his honor, where a smartly turned-out contingent of the armed forces presented a guard of honor, while the Pakistan Air Force paid tribute to the distinguished guest.
As the Turkish President arrived at the Prime Minister’s House, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended a warm welcome.
The guest was escorted to the saluting dais, where the national anthems of both countries were played, followed by a guard of honor presented by a contingent of the armed forces. President Erdoğan also inspected the guard of honor. On this occasion, Army Chief General Asim Munir was also present and shook hands with the Turkish President.
Later, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif introduced the members of the federal cabinet individually to President Erdoğan. In return, the Turkish President introduced his delegation members to the Prime Minister.
President Erdoğan also planted a tree on the lawn of the Prime Minister House. A special prayer was offered for national security, the strengthening of Pakistan-Turkey relations, and the stability of both countries.
