This year, during the holy month of Ramadan, a unique astronomical event is set to occur, which happens only once every 33 years.
According to a foreign news agency, two calendars are generally used worldwide to keep track of dates and days: the solar calendar, also known as the Gregorian calendar, and the Islamic calendar, known as the Hijri calendar, which is based on the lunar cycle.
The report states that it is rare for both calendars to start simultaneously at the same time. However, this year, during Ramadan, this extraordinary phenomenon may be witnessed.
According to the international news agency, there is a strong possibility that Ramadan 2025 will begin on March 1, meaning the Hijri month of Ramadan and the solar month of March will start together.
Astronomers say that this occurs once every 33 years due to a rare alignment in the orbits of the moon and the sun.
