In the Taunsa area of Dera Ghazi Khan, terrorists attacked the Lakhani checkpost; however, no casualties were reported.
According to the District Police Officer (DPO), the terrorists launched the attack on the police checkpost during Suhoor using heavy weapons.
In response, police retaliated with gunfire, forcing the terrorists to flee.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the police for foiling the attack by Khwariji terrorists on the border checkpost in Dera Ghazi Khan. He stated that the DG Khan police bravely confronted the terrorists and repelled the attack.
Mohsin Naqvi further emphasized that the DG Khan police had previously thwarted attacks by Khwariji terrorists with great courage. He commended Punjab Police for professionally countering the attack and successfully dismantling the nefarious plans of the terrorists.
