According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, Eid-ul-Fitr in Pakistan is expected to be on March 31, as the Shawwal moon will be born on March 29 at 3:58 PM.
The focal person of the Meteorological Department, Anjum Nazir, stated that the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will hold a meeting on March 30, when the moon will be 27 hours old and easily visible. There will be a one-hour difference between sunset and moonset, making the moon visible for an hour.
Anjum Nazir further said that after the moon is sighted on March 30, the first of Shawwal will be on March 31. However, the final announcement regarding the Shawwal moon will be made by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.
During Eid in Karachi, the weather is expected to be hot, with temperatures ranging between 36 to 37 degrees Celsius.
According to Anjum Nazir, sea breezes will remain active during Eid, making the weather feel pleasant. However, due to high humidity, the heat may feel more intense.
