President Asif Ali Zardari has stated that the fraternal ties between Pakistan and Oman are founded on shared religion, culture, and values, underscoring the need to strengthen bilateral economic and trade relations. He emphasized that there are vast opportunities for investment in sectors such as information technology, construction, health, food security, and energy.
According to a statement issued by the Press Wing of Aiwan-e-Sadr on Wednesday, the President expressed these views during a meeting with Omani Ambassador Fahd Suleiman Khalaf Al-Kharousi, who called on him at the Presidency.
During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening their historical and brotherly relations. They held detailed discussions on enhancing bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, and the energy sector.
President Zardari appreciated Oman’s support for Pakistan’s candidacy as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council. He added that increased collaboration between the public and private sectors will help strengthen economic and trade ties between the two countries.
