A 10-year-old British girl has stunned the chess world by defeating a grandmaster, becoming the youngest female player ever to achieve this remarkable feat.
According to reports, Bodhna Shivananthan from London achieved the milestone in the final round of the British Chess Championship 2025 held in Liverpool, where she defeated 60-year-old grandmaster Pete Wells. She accomplished this historic victory at the age of just 10 years, 5 months, and 3 days.
