A foreign airline cargo flight en route from Baku, Azerbaijan, to Chennai, India, was forced to make an emergency landing in Karachi due to a technical fault. According to aviation sources, Silk Way Airlines flight ZP 4771 was on its way from Baku to Chennai when the issue occurred.
Reports indicate that the aircraft had already crossed Pakistani airspace and entered Indian airspace over the Arabian Sea at an altitude of 31,000 feet when the technical fault was detected. The pilot immediately contacted Karachi Air Traffic Control and requested permission for an emergency landing.
Upon receiving clearance, the IL-76 cargo aircraft landed safely at Karachi Airport. Civil Aviation officials confirmed that the plane was parked at Terminal One, where engineers are carrying out technical inspections. Fortunately, no casualties or injuries were reported in the incident.
