The Passport Department has introduced a new and advanced digital monitoring system to oversee application processing, printing operations, and overall departmental performance. According to an official statement, a dedicated 24/7 monitoring room has been established at the headquarters on the directives of the Director General of Passports, where daily operations will be monitored and evaluated through a fully integrated digital dashboard.
The statement further explains that the new system will enable real-time monitoring of passport applications and their delivery process. Every stage—from submission of an application to the issuance and dispatch of the passport—will be tracked digitally, allowing authorities to identify any delays or technical issues immediately.
It was also stated that the new monitoring system will automatically detect overcrowding at passport offices, while staff performance, printing phases, and network conditions will also be continuously monitored. The system will assist in addressing backlogs and assessing the operational efficiency of machinery.
According to DG Passports Mustafa Jamal Qazi, the introduction of this modern monitoring system will significantly enhance the department’s performance. He added that not only will staff and officers be closely monitored, but the system will also keep track of crowd situations across all passport offices, enabling prompt resolution of issues as they arise.
