Instant messaging app WhatsApp has released a major update that combines creative tools with personalized features. The new rollout is designed to offer users a more customized and efficient experience.
AI-Generated Chat Themes:
Users can now go to Settings and use prompts to create their own wallpapers and chat bubble colors, giving each conversation a unique and personal look.
iOS Live Photos and Android Motion Photos:
This feature preserves both motion and sound in images, making memories more vivid and realistic when shared.
Android Document Scanner:
Users can now scan, edit, crop, and share documents directly within WhatsApp without relying on third-party apps.
AI-Powered Message Summaries:
For chats with a large number of unread messages, the Summarize Privately option condenses conversations into key points. Currently, this feature is available only in the United States and in English, but it will later expand to other languages and regions.
Other experimental features include rich link previews, poll images, and simplified community creation options.
Experts say these updates mark a major step in transforming WhatsApp from a simple chat app into a productivity platform, while still maintaining strong user privacy protections.
