The two sons of incarcerated Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder Imran Khan, Qasim Khan and Suleman Khan, were unable to obtain a Pakistani visa from the Pakistan High Commission in London, delaying matters related to their potential travel to Pakistan.
According to reports, both Qasim Khan and Suleman Khan had applied for Pakistani visas last month, but the visas were not issued due to certain technical shortcomings identified in their applications.
Diplomatic sources in London stated that the visa applications are currently pending with the relevant section of the Ministry of Interior in Islamabad. The delay has been attributed to the applicants’ failure to provide the required additional information, despite being asked to rectify deficiencies found in their submissions.
Sources further revealed that both Qasim and Suleman Khan are British passport holders and had declared London as their place of birth in the visa applications, while no clear link with Pakistan was mentioned in the submitted documents.
According to diplomatic officials, the applicants also failed to properly provide their travel history in the prescribed forms, which has been cited as a key reason behind the non-issuance of the visas so far.
