The Counter Terrorism Department has claimed to have killed a total of 14 terrorists during operations carried out in Quetta and Barkhan, while several personnel were injured in the exchange of fire.
According to a CTD spokesperson, an operation was conducted in the Darakhshan area of Quetta, where an intense exchange of fire took place with the terrorists. During the encounter, eight terrorists were killed, while three personnel were injured and provided medical assistance.
The spokesperson stated that weapons and ammunition were recovered from the killed terrorists. Initial reports suggest that the terrorists were affiliated with a banned organization, although further investigations are underway to ascertain complete details.
In a separate intelligence-based operation in Barkhan, six more terrorists were killed during an exchange of fire.
According to the spokesperson, the terrorists killed in Barkhan were involved in subversive activities, and weapons and explosive material were also recovered from their possession, while further legal proceedings and investigations continue.
