Islamabad: Reacting to the breakdown of the four-member bench of the Supreme Court, Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said that the bench, which was scheduled to begin its proceedings from today, has been dissolved.
Rana Sanaullah stated that all members of the bench, including Justice Jamal Mandukhil were trustworthy and credible judges. He further mentioned that Justice Jamal Mandukhil’s dissenting note was unfortunate, and he expressed regrettable comments in it. Rana Sanaullah also stated that Justice Jamal Mandukhil had raised objections about not taking his opinion into account while writing the verdict, which is regrettable.
The interior minister said that the decision was given by the larger bench headed by Qazi Faiz Isa, what was done to them in the past was seen by all.
