Iran has reportedly set a condition regarding the passage of Indian ships through the Strait of Hormuz, further complicating the situation related to regional trade movement.
According to reports, Iran demanded that India must return three Iranian vessels if it wants its ships to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. However, India has strongly denied making or receiving such a demand, calling the claim baseless.
It is worth noting that before the start of the conflict, India had taken control of three Iranian oil-laden vessels during a period when it was negotiating a trade deal with the United States, which has since added sensitivity to the matter between the two countries.
According to Reuters, Iran has also demanded the return of its three vessels along with the supply of medicines and medical equipment from India, increasing diplomatic pressure between the two sides.
Reports indicate that around 22 Indian ships are currently stranded in the Strait of Hormuz, facing difficulties in continuing their journey due to the ongoing tensions.
