Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has strongly rejected the allegations made by the Afghan Taliban regime against Pakistan, calling them false and baseless, and issued a firm response.
In a statement posted on the microblogging platform X, Khawaja Asif said that those involved in killing school children and worshippers in mosques are also capable of entering hospitals, killing patients, and then blaming Pakistan to gain international sympathy.
Earlier, Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar had also stated that the Afghan Taliban regime must decide whether it stands with terrorists or with Pakistan.
He said that the roots of terrorism in Pakistan trace back to Afghanistan, and that Pakistan has targeted terrorist hideouts and infrastructure inside Afghanistan. He reiterated that Pakistan’s stance is clear: to eliminate terrorist safe havens.
Atta Tarar further stated that the Afghan Taliban regime attempted to create a false narrative about a hospital being targeted, whereas the location that was hit contained ammunition, and the subsequent explosions serve as clear evidence. He added that the objectives of Operation Ghazab Lil Haq are well defined.
It is worth noting that Pakistan carried out successful airstrikes in Kabul and Nangarhar, targeting ammunition and technical infrastructure.
Earlier, a spokesperson for the Afghan Ministry of Interior had claimed that 400 people were killed in an attack on a drug rehabilitation center, a claim that has been dismissed as baseless by authorities.
