The federal government has decided to allocate petrol based on a quota system in order to ensure fair distribution of petroleum products and is preparing to introduce a digital system to manage fuel consumption more effectively.
According to sources, the government is developing a dedicated mobile application for fuel rationing, which users will be able to download and use to complete their registration within the system.
After downloading the application, each citizen will be required to enter their vehicle registration number and national identity card number to register, after which they will receive petrol according to their assigned quota.
Sources added that the government will determine petrol quotas for each individual based on their needs and availability, aiming to ensure equitable distribution and address any potential shortages.
