Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange witnessed a sharp decline today after U.S. President Donald Trump announced an escalation in attacks on Iran, raising concerns among investors.
From the start of trading on Thursday, the market remained under pressure, with the KSE-100 index dropping by 3,763 points to 151,748 in early trading.
During the session, the negative trend intensified further, with the index falling by 4,088 points to 151,423, reflecting significant market downturn.
According to figures, the KSE-100 index declined by 2.63 percent overall, indicating cautious sentiment among investors.
It is worth noting that the market had shown strong gains a day earlier following Trump’s statement about potentially ending the Iran conflict soon, but the latest announcement has reversed that trend.
