Iran’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghadam, has raised critical questions regarding the United States’ willingness for negotiations, highlighting concerns over trust and credibility.
The ambassador questioned that if there is genuine intent for dialogue, why are military operations continuing in the region, and whether the pause for negotiations is merely a preparation for further attacks.
He stated that Iran will no longer accept the previous pattern of attack, ceasefire, negotiations, and then renewed attacks, asking whether there is any assurance that this cycle will not be repeated.
Moghadam also questioned whether mediators can trust US guarantees and urged the international community to reflect on who is repeatedly violating commitments and why agreements continue to collapse.
He added that the situation raises serious concerns about whether this is a deliberate strategy or a deep crisis of trust that needs urgent attention.
