Iran has confirmed receiving messages from the United States through mediators, including Pakistan, while denying reports of direct negotiations with Washington.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei stated that no direct talks are taking place with the United States, but communication is ongoing through intermediaries, including Pakistan.
According to a British news agency, senior Iranian officials said mediators contacted Iran on Tuesday to discuss continuing diplomatic efforts, though no progress was made regarding a temporary ceasefire.
Earlier reports indicated that U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance had spoken with Pakistani intermediaries regarding the Iran conflict, and sources suggested that a strong message from the U.S. was conveyed to Iran.
According to the report, the U.S. President indicated willingness to discuss a ceasefire if certain demands are met, including reopening the Strait of Hormuz.
Meanwhile, U.S. media claimed that Iran is not ready to engage in serious negotiations to end the conflict, further complicating the situation.
