An increase in cases of measles, chickenpox, and mumps has been reported among children in Karachi, raising concern among parents and health authorities.
According to officials, 3 to 4 children with similar symptoms are being brought daily to outpatient departments of government hospitals, indicating a growing spread of these infections.
Hospital authorities stated that common symptoms of these diseases include fever, body aches, and skin rashes, making early diagnosis and treatment essential.
Medical experts noted that viral infections tend to spread more rapidly during seasonal changes, increasing the risk for children.
Experts have advised parents to ensure the timely vaccination of children, particularly against measles and chickenpox, to prevent these illnesses.
