New missile and drone attacks have struck Gulf countries, prompting high alert measures in Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, with security tightened across key locations.
Bahrain’s Interior Ministry activated sirens amid fears of further attacks and instructed residents to immediately move to safe locations.
The UAE Ministry of Defense confirmed that its air defense systems are intercepting incoming missiles and drones in the air to minimize potential damage.
According to sources cited by a news agency, a petrochemical complex in the industrial area of Jubail, Saudi Arabia, was targeted, resulting in a fire at the facility.
Earlier, Iranian media had also claimed that a major fire had erupted at an oil installation in Jubail, although the cause was not disclosed.
Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Defense stated that seven ballistic missiles heading toward the eastern region were intercepted, but debris caused damage to energy facilities.
Meanwhile, in Kuwait, 15 US personnel were injured in a drone attack at Ali Al Salem Air Base, a development confirmed by US officials in media statements.
