Talks between the United States and Iran are likely to take place in Islamabad on Friday, marking a significant diplomatic development amid recent tensions.
According to sources, the negotiations will be held at the delegation level in Islamabad, where key issues are expected to be discussed.
Reports suggest that US Vice President J.D. Vance and President Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff are likely to participate in the talks, representing the American side.
On the other hand, sources indicate that Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi are also expected to attend, further highlighting the importance of the discussions.
It is worth noting that US President Donald Trump has accepted Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s request for a two-week ceasefire, which has accelerated diplomatic engagement between the parties.
