The Meteorological Department has forecast an improvement in weather conditions in Karachi, stating that sea breezes have resumed, which is expected to reduce the intensity of heat and prevent extreme temperatures in the coming days.
According to spokesperson Anjum Nazir, April 12 was a particularly hot day in Karachi, with the temperature recorded at 39.5 degrees Celsius, while northeastern winds were blowing at the time, contributing to the increased heat intensity.
He further stated that sea breezes have returned since yesterday, and there is no likelihood of extreme heat in Karachi over the next 8 to 10 days, while the current average temperature remains around 35 degrees Celsius and is expected to stay near this level.
The department added that the return of sea winds will help maintain moderate weather conditions, keeping the heat under control and providing some relief to residents.
