Despite the US-imposed blockade, maritime traffic continues in the Strait of Hormuz, with reports indicating that more than 20 commercial vessels have passed through the key waterway in the past 24 hours, highlighting the complexity of the situation and the importance of global energy routes.
According to a US publication, vessel movement has not been completely halted despite the blockade, while earlier the US Central Command had claimed that six ships were turned back during the first 24 hours and no Iranian vessel managed to pass through the strait.
The US military stated that more than 10,000 sailors, marines, and air personnel have been deployed to enforce the blockade and monitor the strategic waterway.
CENTCOM added that the restrictions apply to vessels heading to and from Iranian ports, while ports in the rest of the Gulf remain open, allowing partial continuation of global trade despite disruptions.
