According to a US-based news website, significant progress has been made in ongoing negotiations between the United States and Iran, bringing both sides closer to a framework agreement aimed at ending the conflict. Developments in the talks held on Tuesday have been described as important.
The US news website Axios, citing American officials, reported that the negotiations between the two sides have advanced positively and that both parties are moving toward a potential framework agreement to ease ongoing tensions.
According to the report, two US officials stated that while meaningful progress was achieved during Tuesday’s discussions, reaching a final agreement is still not guaranteed due to existing differences between the two countries.
The report further noted that, according to US officials, President Donald Trump’s negotiating team remains actively engaged in ongoing contacts and exchanges of draft proposals to shape a mutually acceptable agreement.
According to the website, a third US official stated that the United States is keen to reach an agreement and that some parts of the Iranian government are also interested, but the main challenge now is to bring the entire Iranian leadership on board.
