The Sindh government has announced strict measures against cheating in board examinations, declaring a zero tolerance policy under which students involved in cheating will be barred not only from current exams but also from appearing in any future board examinations.
In a joint statement, Sindh Education Minister Sardar Shah and Minister for Universities and Boards Muhammad Ismail Rahu said that strict action will be taken against both students and staff involved in cheating during matric and intermediate examinations.
They emphasized that if any invigilator, internal or external staff member, or administrative officer is found involved in cheating, immediate departmental action will be taken, including dismissal from service in case of staff involvement.
According to the ministers, any student found carrying a mobile phone or cheating material will be expelled from the examination process immediately, and all their papers will be cancelled.
They further stated that such students will not be allowed to sit in any ongoing or future board examinations, aiming to ensure transparency in the education system.
The ministers also announced that monitoring systems at examination centers will be further strengthened, and strict action will be taken against any interference or violation.
