Global oil prices have surged to their highest level in two weeks due to a continued stalemate in negotiations between Iran and the United States, increasing uncertainty in the energy market.
According to reports, Brent crude prices rose by 2.90 dollars per barrel, reaching 109.2 dollars per barrel, while US crude also increased by 1.97 dollars to 97.31 dollars per barrel, reflecting growing pressure on global supply.
Arab media reports indicate that the lack of progress in peace talks between Iran and the United States, along with restricted oil shipments through the Strait of Hormuz, has intensified pressure on global supply, leading to a rise in prices.
It is also reported that Iran has presented new proposals to the United States regarding a ceasefire and reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, and these proposals are expected to be reviewed by the US, although no final progress has yet been achieved.
