Islamabad: Former President Asif Ali Zardari has said that in April last year, during a vote of no confidence, General Bajwa had threatened that if the motion was not withdrawn, he would impose martial law.
In an interview with a private TV channel, he said that when the no-confidence motion was presented, General Bajwa threatened and said that if you do not withdraw the motion, I will make Imran Khan resign. When Maulana and I told him that it would not happen, he said that martial law could be imposed.
He said that Khalid Magsi and I said, “Bismillah” and let’s impose martial law. General Faiz Hamid wanted me to leave the country during Imran Khan’s tenure and go abroad to the medical ground. Bilawal has said that Imran Khan has removed the allowances of the children and they are discussing others.
Army policies change after a year and a half. The situation is really bad. There is an attempt to hold elections in October. There is a difference between my and Imran Khan’s doomsday plan. Imran Khan and General Faiz had a plan to stay until 2035.
