Pakistan defeated Australia by four wickets in the third and deciding One Day International to win the three-match series 2-1.
Chasing a target of 158 runs, Pakistan successfully reached the total in the 42nd over to seal the series victory.
Earlier, Australia were bowled out for 157 runs after Pakistan’s bowlers produced an impressive performance. Captain Josh Inglis top-scored with 65 runs, while Marnus Labuschagne and Alex Carey contributed 19 runs each.
For Pakistan, Shaheen Shah Afridi claimed three wickets, while Abrar Ahmed and Shadab Khan took two wickets apiece. Haris Rauf also picked up a wicket.
Pakistan’s chase was not straightforward, but Babar Azam played a composed innings of 40 runs and Moaz Sadaqat added 27.
A crucial unbeaten partnership between Abdul Samad and Shadab Khan guided Pakistan home, adding 49 runs and securing a memorable victory.
Pakistan had won the opening match of the series by five wickets, while Australia bounced back in the second ODI with a 42-run victory before Pakistan sealed the series in the decider.
