Pakistan’s security forces carried out targeted operations against militant hideouts in border regions along Afghanistan, killing 26 militants and destroying four major operational facilities.
According to reports, the operations were launched following a series of recent terrorist attacks, including an assault on a Frontier Constabulary checkpoint in Musa Darra on June 9, a suicide attack on a military post in North Waziristan on June 2, and an attack on Bannu Police Station on May 9.
Acting on credible intelligence, security forces targeted concealed militant compounds and safe havens, resulting in the elimination of 26 militants.
The operations destroyed four major targets, including a training facility, a secret hideout, a large weapons and ammunition depot, and operational centers linked to commanders Aleem Khan Khushali and Akhtar Muhammad Janikhel.
Officials said the strikes were carried out with precision and professionalism, focusing solely on militant elements and their infrastructure.
Pakistan reiterated its commitment to peace and stability while emphasizing that the protection of its citizens remains a top priority.
Counterterrorism operations will continue under the National Action Plan and the Azm-e-Istehkam strategy until terrorist networks are completely dismantled.
