The Federal Government has submitted its response regarding negotiations on the election to the Supreme Court. PTI agreed to hold the election on a date.
The response, submitted by the Attorney General on behalf of the Federal Finance Minister, Ishaq Dar, stated that the ruling coalition believes that the resolution of political issues lies in political dialogue.
The government has taken a position that it is prepared to resume negotiations in the country’s best interests. There has been significant progress after talks began with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). The PTI has agreed to a date for holding elections.
According to the coalition’s response, positive progress has been made in negotiations between the two sides on election matters. However, a date cannot be agreed upon for the analysis of national and provincial assemblies.
The response stated that the government’s coalition partners have shown flexibility in the negotiations. The matter of analyzing the assemblies’ results has also been considered in a timely manner.
