Peshawar: Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi has expressed determination to work with Pakistan on the economic front, stating that it will strengthen security between both countries through projects.
According to the details, a ceremony was held between Pakistan and Iran for the Gobad Polan electricity transmission project, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi participated in the ceremony.
Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Abdul Qudos Bizenjo, Bilawal Bhutto, Khurram Dastgir, Maryam Aurangzeb, Akhtar Mengal, Khamid Megsi, and others also participated in the ceremony.
During his address at the ceremony, Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi stated that Pakistan-Iran relations hold great importance, and today both countries have taken steps to further strengthen these relations.
Ibrahim Raisi welcomed Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and the delegation at the Iranian border, stating that this border connects Iran and Pakistan.
He said that the projects being inaugurated today were laid down a long time ago, but faced delays. Despite the restrictions imposed on Iran, we have completed these projects, and I extend congratulations to the people of Pakistan and Iran.
The Iranian President revealed that it is surprising for many countries that Iran has completed projects despite sanctions. We are ready to work with Pakistan in the energy sector, and there is room for collaboration with neighboring countries, including Pakistan, in the field of energy.
