Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, while addressing the nation on Friday, announced that July 7th will be observed as “Holy Quran Day” to protest against the desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden.
According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, an important meeting was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. The meeting discussed the matter of the desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden and the decision was made to observe July 7th as Quran Day.
To formulate a national action plan in response to the incident in Sweden, it was decided to convene a joint session of Parliament on Thursday.
Shahbaz Sharif stated that a nationwide protest against the incident in Sweden will take place on July 7th. He appealed to all political parties and the entire nation to participate in the protest, emphasizing that the entire nation, with a unified voice, will send a message to the satanic minds.
He further instructed that rallies be held across the country on Friday to condemn the incident in Sweden.
Shahbaz Sharif directed that a national action plan be formulated in the joint session of Parliament and that the sentiments and emotions of the nation be effectively conveyed through the platform of the Parliament.
The Prime Minister also instructed that a joint resolution be passed in the joint session of Parliament.
He directed the workers of the Pakistan Muslim League (N) to actively participate in the Quran Day rallies on Friday.
As the President of the Pakistan Muslim League (N) party, the Prime Minister has also directed the party to organize rallies throughout the country.
Addressing the meeting, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that the honor and sanctity of the Holy Quran is an integral part of our faith. We are united in this cause, and we strongly condemn the spread of Islamophobia by misguided minds and their reprehensible agenda.
