The process of obtaining and submitting nomination papers for participating in the general elections has commenced today. The Election Commission has also initiated the receipt of nomination papers for the upcoming general elections.
In a statement released by the Election Commission, it has been said that the nomination papers can be submitted from today till December 22.
According to the Election Commission, the candidates will submit the nomination papers to the RO office of the respective constituency.
The Returning Officer will receive the nomination papers by 4:30 PM.
On the other hand, candidates can receive and submit the papers from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
Candidates can submit nomination papers from December 20 to 22.
According to the Election Commission, the preliminary list of candidates will be released on December 23, the scrutiny of nomination papers will take place from December 24 to 30, while on January 13, election symbols will be allotted to the candidates.
Polling for the general elections will be held on February 8.
