Against the growing unrest in Jafarabad, Jamiat Ulema Islam F (JUI) threatened to block the national highway connecting Sindh, Balochistan and Punjab.
District Amir JUI Maulana Abdul Ahad Qureshi said in a press conference that Jafarabad Police including Dera Allah Yar has failed in maintaining law and order.
He said that the robbers entered the house of Jamiat worker Abdul Majeed using police uniform and vehicle, took the family hostage and subjected them to torture and escaped by snatching cash and jewelery at gunpoint.
The JUI leader said that the police are only busy in creating their own manthali, the protection of life and property of the people is not among their priorities. If the accused are not arrested, the national highway will be blocked on December 21.
