A legal notice has been sent to the Election Commission for not releasing the election schedule of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.The legal notice was sent by Azhar Siddique, the head of the Judicial Activism Panel.
The text says that the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa wrote a letter to the Election Commission for the election schedule. Despite the Governor’s letter, the Election Commission did not issue the election schedule. Elections in 90 days are a constitutional requirement and a fundamental right. It is further stated in the text that the Election Commission is not issuing the election schedule due to malice, by delaying the election schedule, the Election Commission is committing violation of the constitution.If the election schedule is not released despite the legal notice, the judiciary will be approached.
