The Islamabad High Court has decided to constitute a larger bench regarding the disqualification case against Imran Khan for not disclosing his alleged daughter Teriyan in the nomination papers.
Chief Justice Islamabad High Court Justice Aamir Farooq heard the disqualification case against Imran Khan for not appearing his alleged daughter in the nomination papers.
Imran Khan’s lawyer Salman Akram Raja appeared in the Supreme Court due to his assistant counsel and told him to submit a written reply.
Chief Justice Amir Farooq remarked that in the reply it was said that Imran Khan is no longer a member of the National Assembly, it would be appropriate to know the new situation related to Imran Khan.
Talking to Imran Khan’s lawyers regarding the objection on the bench, Chief Justice Islamabad High Court remarked that he had not excused himself from hearing this case in 2018 due to personal reasons. If the objection is raised, then the bench is reconstituted, the matter will be placed before the larger bench.
The court adjourned the hearing of the case till February 9.
