The ISPR has said that three retired officers are also in military custody in connection with the operations against Lt. Gen. (retd) Faiz Hameed.
According to the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army, these officers acted against military discipline, the arrested officers include two former senior officers, Brigadier (retd) Ghaffar and Brigadier (retd) Naeem and a former colonel.
According to the ISPR, the three officers involved worked as messengers, the three officers were involved in the coordination between the political party and Lt Gen (Rtd) Faiz Hameed.
According to ISPR, both the retired brigadiers belong to Chakwal and were special and approved officers of General Faiz who were also involved in political messaging and facilitation after retirement.
The ISPR further said that these retired officers and their associates tried to create instability by colluding with people with political interests.
