The Meteorological Department says that monsoon winds will enter Sindh from today, the spell of monsoon in the country is likely to continue till August 25.
According to the Meteorological Department, till August 19, rain with thunder may occur in various cities of Sindh including Karachi, Ghotki, Mirpurkhas, Umarkot, Sanghar, Thatta and Sukkur.
On the other hand, heavy rain has been predicted in Gujranwala, Hafizabad and Chiniot, under which NDMA has expressed fear of urban flooding in major cities of Punjab.
Prime Minister has issued instructions to NDMA, PDMAs and other concerned agencies to be on high alert during the new spell of monsoon.
The Prime Minister said that he is monitoring the expected severe spell of monsoon till August 25 from the dashboard.
