Karachi: Pakistan has dispatched the 17th aid shipment for Lebanon and Gaza.
According to the news, the aid shipment sent by Pakistan for Gaza and Lebanon, which have been affected by Israeli bombardment, includes medicines, food, rice, tents, warm clothing, and powdered milk.
A spokesperson for the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) stated that, following the directives of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, the NDMA’s aid delivery to Gaza and Lebanon continues.
The 17th shipment of relief supplies was sent from Jinnah International Airport Karachi, and the aircraft will carry 17 tons of aid to Beirut.
The ceremony for the shipment’s departure was attended by Dr. Farooq Sattar, a member of the National Assembly from the Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan, along with representatives from NDMA and Al-Khidmat Foundation.
Previously, an aid shipment was sent from Islamabad International Airport, where Barrister Aqeel Malik, advisor to the Prime Minister, reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to assist the brothers and sisters affected by the war in Palestine and Lebanon during the event.
The Palestinian ambassador expressed heartfelt gratitude to the people of Pakistan for their unwavering support and generously providing humanitarian aid for Gaza, stating that solidarity during this difficult time is a ray of hope and proof of the lasting bond between us.
It is noteworthy that the NDMA has already sent a total of 1,610 tons of aid to Lebanon and Gaza, which includes medicines, ready-to-eat food, rice, tents, warm clothing, and powdered milk.
