Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that Pakistan’s economy is stabilizing and that the country is now entering a new era of growth. He added that Pakistan is progressing not only economically but also diplomatically and militarily.
Speaking to overseas Pakistanis in London, the prime minister described them as the nation’s valuable asset, commending their services and contributions. He recalled that just two to three years ago the economy was struggling, but it is now improving and moving toward stability and growth.
Drawing a cricket analogy, Shehbaz Sharif said that just as a captain cannot succeed without the efforts of ten players, national progress is only possible through teamwork. He emphasized that collective effort is the key to success.
The prime minister further stated that Pakistan is advancing in diplomatic, economic, and military domains. He highlighted that the country has achieved major successes and defeated its enemies. He noted that he had represented Pakistan at the United Nations, where he presented the Kashmir issue effectively before the global community.
On Gaza, Sharif said he prays for peace and an end to bloodshed. He mentioned that both the Gaza and Kashmir causes have been strongly highlighted at international forums. According to him, over 64,000 Palestinians have been martyred in Gaza, which he described as a global tragedy.
The premier also pointed out that Pakistan’s relations with the United States have improved, noting that his meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump was productive and that ties between the two nations are expected to strengthen further.
Addressing the gathering, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said that an important meeting had taken place between President Trump and leaders of Muslim countries regarding Gaza, and positive outcomes are expected. He stressed that Pakistan has effectively presented its stance at all UN platforms.
Dar further noted that during Nawaz Sharif’s tenure, Pakistan was ranked as the 24th largest economy in the world. He emphasized that the current government saved the country from default and ongoing efforts will help strengthen the economy even further.
