Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has nominated Moeen Riaz Qureshi as the new opposition leader in the Punjab Assembly. This decision follows the disqualification of former opposition leader Ahmed Khan Bachar.
According to details, with Ahmed Khan Bachhar losing his membership and the position of opposition leader falling vacant, PTI has chosen Moeen Riaz Qureshi to lead the opposition in the provincial assembly. PTI’s Secretary General Salman Akram Raja stated that Bachhar is still pursuing his legal case and continues to enjoy the full support of the party.
It is noteworthy that following the conviction and disqualification of Ahmed Khan Bachchar in the May 9 case, the opposition leader’s seat in the Punjab Assembly remained vacant.
