The federal government has taken a positive step for Christian federal employees and pensioners on the occasion of Christmas. The government has announced that December salaries and pensions for Christian employees and pensioners will be paid in advance, with the payments scheduled for December 22.
In this regard, the Ministry of Finance has formally issued a directive to the Controller General of Accounts. The letter instructs that, in view of Christmas on December 25, all federal employees and pensioners belonging to the Christian community should be paid their salaries and pensions before the scheduled date.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the purpose of this decision is to facilitate the Christian community in preparing for Christmas so they can celebrate their religious festival with timely financial support. Officials stated that the move reflects the government’s commitment to interfaith harmony and the protection of minority rights.
The decision has been welcomed by the Christian community. Federal employees and pensioners said that advance payments will ease their Christmas arrangements and help reduce financial pressure during the festive period.
