The United Kingdom, Russia, China, Iran, and Malaysia have expressed concern over the recent clashes between Pakistan and Afghanistan, urging both countries to de escalate tensions and resolve their differences through dialogue.
A spokesperson for China’s Foreign Ministry stated that both Pakistan and Afghanistan should exercise restraint and settle their disputes through talks and negotiations. China called for an immediate cessation of hostilities and concrete steps to reduce tensions.
The British Foreign Secretary also urged both sides to take immediate measures to de-escalate and prioritize regional peace and stability.
Russia’s Foreign Ministry advised Pakistan and Afghanistan to avoid dangerous confrontation and resolve their differences through political and diplomatic channels to prevent further escalation.
Iran offered to mediate between the two countries, with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stating that Iran is ready to facilitate dialogue and extend full cooperation for peace efforts in the region.
Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim called on both countries to immediately halt military operations and act with restraint. He acknowledged Pakistan’s security concerns as legitimate while emphasizing the importance of respecting Afghanistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
